GUSI @ The International Academy of Astronautics
GUSI students Nico Iraj Baumann, Owen Chbani, Anna Kelly, Shuai Li, and Briana Sparacino had the incredible privilege to volunteer for the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) Day. This invite-only event for industry professionals was an incredible gathering of leaders in the space and defense sectors, including current and former CEOs, as well as two former NASA Administrators.
Speakers covered a diverse array of topics, including the history of the Apollo program; the emerging lunar economy; and the future of Artemis and NASA under the incoming administration. Our GUSI students had the honor to talk to industry leaders from NASA, Northrop Grumman, Interlune, Blue Origin, and Lockheed Martin. The Georgetown University Space Imitative is grateful for Bhavya Lal, Otfrid Liepack, and Teasel Muir-Harmony, a Georgetown Professor and a Historian at the National Air and Space Museum for organizing this incredible event. Thanks again for helping our students to deepen their engagement with the space industry!
